The HIRE Vets Medallion Program was created to recognize employers of all sizes for their efforts to recruit, employ, and retain our nation’s veterans. The HIRE Vets Medallion Award, the only veteran’s employment award available at the federal level, represents a truly elite recognition opportunity and was created to encourage and recognize employers who are committed to not just hiring veterans, but retaining them in meaningful, long-term careers.
Each year the HIRE Vets Medallion Program will be accepting applications from January to April. For those applicants who met the criteria they will be recognized by the Secretary of Labor in November of each year, on a date to coincide with Veterans Day.
Medallion Recipients will receive a certificate stating the award year and a digital image of the medallion to use, including as part of an advertisement, solicitation, business activity or product. Medallion award recipients also have the opportunity to utilize the Medallion in the marketing of their firm when hiring, as well as to attract additional business.
